Description
The Aardvark (Orycteropus afer) is a burrowing insectivorous mammal and the sole remaining member of the mammalian order Tubulidentata. This animal is predominantly nocturnal but forages during the day in the colder winter months. During winter it often emerges from the burrow after sunrise and sunbasks before foraging. The front feet of the Aardvark have four toes, whilst the rear feet have all five toes. Filmed in Samara Private Reserve in the Karoo, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa.
