Drug research using insects. Researcher holding the remains of ghost moth (Hepialus armonicanus) caterpillars, which were infected and killed by the parasitic fungus Cordyceps sinensis. This fungus, highly esteemed in Chinese medicine, is being investigated by research laboratories as a potential source for new drug compounds. Photographed in Petit-Saut, French Guiana.
