Description
Dragon Arum (Dracunculus vulgaris). This plant is a member of the Araceae family. The flowering part consists of a large erect spadix surrounded by a single petal-like spathe. It emits a foul smelling odour to attract carrion flies that help to pollinate it. The flower is also able to generate heat, which helps carry the scent into the air.
