Description
Gold artefacts. Gold artefacts including a death mask with earring and necklace jewellery on either side. These artefacts are from the Butuanon culture, which inhabited islands which are now the Philippines. This culture existed from the 9th century, but faded when the Spanish arrived in the mid-16th century. These artefacts were found on the island of Mindanao.
