Description
Comb jelly (Bolinopsis infundibulum). Comb jellies (Ctenophores) are jellyfish-like organisms that take their common name from their rows of hair-like cilia, which they beat to propel them through the water. They are found in seas throughout the world but are not true jellyfish as they lack the characteristic stinging cells (cnidocytes).
