Description
Colon cancer cells, confocal fluorescence light micrograph. These are cultured cancer cells. The nuclei (blue) are stained with the fluorescent stain DAPI. The tubulin (green) of the cytoskeleton is similarly stained with a fluorescent dye. Cancer is the uncontrolled replication of cells caused by damage to the cellular genetic material.
