Description
Carbon dioxide gas boiling through a solution of an acid-base indicator. Chips of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) can be seen in the solution. These have turned the indicator green, showing that the solution is slightly acidic. The acid is carbonic acid (H2CO3), which formed when the carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolved in water.
