Description
Light micrograph section through human tissue showing capillary haemangioma, also known as, infantile hemagioma, strawberry haemangioma and strawberry nevus. It is the most common haemangioma which appears as a raised red, lumpy area of flesh anywhere on the body, though it mostly occurs on the head and neck. This 'birthmark' is a benign (non-cancerous) tumour consisting of an abnormal overgrowth of tiny blood vessels.
