Description
Confocal light micrograph of cancer cells following treatment with a chemotherapeutic compound targeting the cytoskeleton (cells skeleton). The cytoskeleton plays a critical role in many essential cellular processes and by disrupting this the cell is no longer able to function. Cells are stained with phalloidin, a fluorescently labelled compound that labels the actin cytoskeleton (cells skeleton), and DAPI, a fluorescent stain that labels the cell nuclei. Magnification: x410 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
