Description
MODEL RELEASED. Boy's face lit by glow sticks. Glow sticks are single-use plastic tubes containing a mixture of a fluorescent dye, an oxalate ester and a glass vial containing an activator such as hydrogen peroxide. By squeezing and breaking the glass, the activator mixes with the ester and this, through a series of chemical reactions, makes the fluorescent dye emit light. When light is produced through a chemical reaction, it is called chemiluminescence.
