Description
Bomb disposal. Bomb disposal experts with breathing apparatus and protective clothing deactivating a phosphorus shell. The phosphorus this shell contains is designed to be spread over a wide area by the blast, maiming and killing personnel. The protective clothing is to prevent any exposure to the phosphorus during the procedure. In the disarming of bombs, the trigger and the detonator are removed, and the explosive is destroyed in a controlled explosion. Any other hazardous components of the bomb, such as the spontaneously-flammable phosphorus in this case, are made safe using techniques specific to the hazard.
