Description
The mobile launcher with NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft aboard rolling out of the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Complex 39 at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, USA. This rollout is for the uncrewed Artemis I test flight, scheduled to launch on the 29th of August 2022. Artemis I mission will spend around three weeks in space, orbiting both the Earth and Moon, covering a distance of 450,000 kilometres away from Earth. This is longer and further than any spacecraft designed to carry humans has flown before. The Artemis program aims to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon by 2024. Photographed on the 16th of August 2022.
