Description
Apollo 14 astronaut Edgard Mitchell on the Moon searching the Cone crater, February 1971. This photograph was taken by mission commander Alan Shepard, the first American in space. Their objective was to explore the Fra Mauro region of the Moon. The mission launched on 31st January 1971, and returned to Earth on February 9th 1971.
