Airglow and Magellanic Clouds. Airglow (green) is the faint natural glow of the atmosphere. The Magellanic Clouds are two nearby dwarf galaxies visible from the southern hemisphere. At upper centre is the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). At upper right is the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). Photographed in December from San Antonio de Areco, Argentina.
