Description
Orbital maintenance docking. Illustration of a reusable crew capsule (RCC, upper left) docking with an orbital maintenance platform (OMP, upper right) in low Earth orbit. The RCC can support a crew of up to seven astronauts and is capable of returning independently to Earth. The OMP, designed in the style of an International Space Station (ISS) module, includes a robotic arm (upper right) and a windowed cupola (upper centre). The RCC is 8 metres long with solar voltaic panels spanning 15 metres. The OMP is 13.7 metres long. When docked, the combined configuration of both spacecraft is around 21 metres in length with a diameter of 5.5 metres.
