Description
Nude mice dissection. Close-up of nude mice in a petri dish ready for dissection at an animal experimentation laboratory. Nude mice are a genetic variant of the mouse. They are hairless and have an atrophied or absent thymus gland, leading to a compromised immune system. It is this lack of immunity that is used when conducting experiments with nude mice. For a sequence showing the dissection of these mice, see images G352/407 to G352/411.
