Description
Indri (Indri indri) in a tree. Indris are the largest of the lemurs, their bodies can reach 90 centimetres in length. Indris live in the rainforests of north-eastern Madagascar in small groups of between 3 and 5 individuals, and feed on fruits, leaves and flowers. Their loud call, can be heard from over a kilometre away, is used to advertise the presence of the group to other lemurs. Photographed in Madagascar.
