Description
Circular wave reflection. Illustration showing circular waves travelling away from a point source (centre) and reflecting off a flat surface (upper left). The reflected waves travel at the same angle, but in the opposite direction, to the incident waves. Where waves overlap, interference occurs. Interfering waves may either cancel each other out, or create an amplified wave.
