Description
Water droplet on a stem. The water droplet acts as a tiny lens, collecting and focusing light to form an inverted image of the corn poppy flower (Papaver rhoeas) behind it. This is caused by refraction, the bending of light rays when they pass from one medium to another. Photographed in Lazio, Italy.
