Description
Titan's surface, composite Cassini image. Titan is Saturn's largest moon. Light areas in this view are thought to be water ice upland areas. Lower ground has been filled with dark particulate matter from the moon's atmosphere. The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft was launched in 1997 to investigate Saturn, its rings and its moons. Images taken by Cassini's narrow-angle camera on the 7th September 2005.
