Description
Simple alternating current generator. Illustration showing a coil of wire (red) spinning between the poles of a magnet. As the coil is rotated in the magnetic field a current is induced in the wire, which reverses direction every half turn. This is called alternating current (AC). The current is powering a light bulb connected into the circuit.
