Description
Cumulus mediocris clouds over trees. Cumulus clouds often form at cold fronts where the advancing, cool air forces warm air upwards. They typically occur at under 2000 metres altitude, with the mediocris variety having a moderate vertical extent. Photographed near noon in spring, in southern Berkshire, UK.
