Wright Model B airplane. US Army flight of a biplane designed by the Wright brothers. US aviation pioneers Wilbur and Orville Wright produced a series of Wright Flyer aircraft models, starting with the first successful flight in a heaver-than-air machine (1903). Among the early designs they produced was the Wright Model B (1910), here being flown in 1912 at College Park airfield, Maryland, USA. This airfield was founded in 1909 by the US Army Signal Corps as a training site for their first pilots. The pilot here is Lieutenant Harry T. Graham (1874-1952). Photographed by Harris and Ewing in 1912, during the second season of flying.
