Description
MODEL RELEASED. Movement with broken leg. Woman with a broken leg in plaster, attempts to descend a staircase. The woman is descending using her backside rather than her crutches because there is less chance of losing balance and falling. The plaster cast on the woman's right leg is a rigid casing, applied to a limb to hold a broken bone or dislocated joint in the correct position during healing. Plaster casts are made using bandages impregnated with plaster of Paris, which hardens after application. Plaster casts are removed using an electric saw that cuts through the cast but does not damage the skin.
