Artist's Description

Whirlpool from stirred liquid, high-speed photograph. The shape of the central depression is a perfect illustration of the basic law of fluid dynamics known as Bernoulli's principle or Bernoulli's law. This states that velocity increases simultaneously with a decrease in pressure causing the whirlpool effect.
