Web of Araneus diadematus. It is also known as St. John's cross spider due to the pattern formed by rows of white spots on its abdomen. This spider is found throughout Europe and lives in woods, heaths and gardens. The web reaches about 40cm in diameter. It is here glistening due to the presence of droplets of dew or mist.
