Vision spectra of humans and bees. Illustration of the different light spectra visible to humans (top) and bees (bottom). Unlike humans, bees can see in the ultraviolet, with many flower patterns that attract bees only visible at these wavelengths. Under certain conditions, human eyes can detect infrared light (far right). The normal visible spectrum of rainbow colours falls between these two extremes. The wavelength of the light is shown across bottom in nanometres (nm).
