Description
High-speed photograph (taken using a stroboscopic flash unit) of the vibrating lowest bass string of a classical guitar. The amplitude of vibration of the bass strings is greater than in the upper strings, due to their large size & lesser degree of tension. Sound waves produced by the vibrating strings are amplified & modulated by passing through the circular hole (behind the strings) into the guitar's sound box.
