Description
Lush vegetation in the tropical rain forest of the Amazonian basin, Ecuador. Rain forests are hot, wet evergreen forests found in the equatorial region, where growth is luxuriant and dense. Trees grow to immense heights in search of the sun forming a canopy over the forest floor, where plants such as ferns flourish in the moist shade.
