USS Thresher submarine. Bow-on view of the USS Thresher (SSN-593) nuclear-powered attack submarine at sea. Thresher was launched in 1960 and sank during deep diving tests on 10th April 1963, killing all 129 crew. Photographed on 24th July 1961.
