MODEL RELEASED. Ultraviolet light. Boy holding an image that is fluorescing in ultraviolet light. The image shows tracks formed by a beam of particles in a liquid hydrogen bubble chamber at CERN, Europe's centre for research in particle physics. Fluorescence is a property of some materials in which ultraviolet light is absorbed and re-emitted as visible light.
