Description
Two-headed infant. X-ray of conjoined (siamese) twins. Each twin has its own head, neck and trachea (windpipe), but shares the rest of the body. Most two-headed infants are stillborn or die soon after birth. As with identical twins, conjoined twins result from the fertilisation of a single egg cell, but with conjoined twins the spitting of the embryo is incomplete.
