Artist's Description
Tropical cloudforest. Tropical plants on and around cliffs near a waterfall in a valley at high elevation (around 1400 metres). This high elevation makes this an example of cloudforest, with humid and moist air caused by low cloud cover. Photographed in the Rio Loco valley near the San Rafael Falls, Napo, Ecuador. This area is located on the western edge of the Ecuadorian Amazon region, in the foothills of the Andes mountain range.
