James John Trevor Lawrence, 2nd Baronet (1831-1913) English doctor and horticulturalist, known in horticultural circles as Sir Trevor Lawrence. Studied medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. Spent ten years in the Indian Medical Service. President of the Royal Horticultural Society for many years. One of his hobbies was breeding Orchids and he is holding a bunch of them in his hands. Cartoon by 'Spy' (Leslie Ward, 1851-1922) from Vanity Fair (London, 26 January 1899). Chromolithograph.
