Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

Light micrograph of a leaf lower epidermis of tradescantia virginiana, stained with DAPI to show the blue-white fluorescence of the epidermis cells nuclei, some in focus, some out of focus. The chloroplasts of the stomata show red auto-fluorescence. Microscopic contrast method: Fluorescence contrast, UV excitation. Magnification 800x when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
