Thumb fracture. Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) scan showing the skin and bones in the wrist and hand of a patient with a displaced fracture affecting the base of the first metacarpal bone (lower right) in the thumb. This is called a Bennett fracture and is a common injury to the thumb.
