Description
TELUS World of Science dome. This dome is the centrepiece of the TELUS World of Science centre in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to 2005, the centre was known as Science World. The centre was built following the 1986 Expo World Fair. The dome is a geodesic dome, based on the designs of Buckminster Fuller. In 1989, an OMNIMAX cinema was opened in the upper half of the dome. This format later became known as IMAX.
