Description
MODEL RELEASED. Fuel cell testing. Technician assembling a Solid Polymer Fuel Cell (SPFC) stack during testing. The cells are the eight, grey triangular forms. Fuel cells convert the energy from a chemical reaction into electricity. This can continue for as long as fuel and an oxidiser are added to the cell while waste products are removed. This 300 Amp bipolar fuel stack has a peak power output in excess of 1.2 kiloWatts. It will be used, among other things, for transport applications. This stack is being developed by the Fuel Cell group at Loughborough University, England.
