Description
Synaesthesia. Computer artwork representing the neurological condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. For example, numbers may be perceived as inherently coloured. In this representation, the number 5 is perceived as yellow and the number 2 is perceived as purple. This can often mean it is easier for synaesthetes to distinguish one entity amongst a crowd of others. Other types of synaesthesia include attaching shapes and colours to different sounds and the personification of numbers, days, months and letters.
