Description
Very low magnification light micrograph showing a human submaxillary or submandibular gland. In the centre is an interlobular connective tissue septum containing a longitudinal section of a branch of Stenon's duct. In the glandular lobes, at this low magnification, the subdivision of the parenchyma into lobes and lobules by means of connective tissue septa stands out. Magnification: x9 when printed at 10 centimetres across.
