Star forming region. Optical image of the star formation NGC 7129. This region contains bright stars which are probably well under a million years old, very young by astronomy standards. The stars are surrounded by diffuse clouds of dust and gas, seen as a reflection nebula. NGC 7129 is in the constellation Cepheus. This image was made using the 2.1-metre telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, Arizona.
