Sirius rising with Orion. View of the night sky with Sirius (bright, lower left) rising above a snow-covered mountain top and the constellation of Orion visible at upper right. Sirius is the brightest star system in the night sky. It is actually a binary star system consisting of a white main-sequence star (Sirius A) and a faint white dwarf (Sirius B). Photographed in Hemnesberget, Norway, in January.
