Serotonin. Molecular model of the neurotransmitter serotonin (C10.H12.N2.O). This monoamine chemical is primarily found in the digestive tract, where it helps regulate intestinal movements. It is also found in the central nervous system (CNS), aiding feelings of well-being and happiness. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red).
