Ring-necked parakeets (Psittacula krameri) and a fledgling common starling (Sturnus vulgaris) on bird feeders in an urban garden. Ring-necked parakeets are small parrots, also known as rose-ringed parakeets. They are native to Africa and Asia but have successfully adapted to conditions in the southern UK since a number escaped from captivity. Common starlings are omnivorous birds that mainly scavenge for food, although they also feed on insects and fruit. Photographed in London, UK.
