Description
Light micrograph section through human kidney tissue showing renal anaemic infarct. This condition is also known as white infarcts and are caused by arterial occlusions that are usually seen in the heart, spleen or in this case the kidneys. These are referred to as 'white' because of the lack of haemorrhaging and limited blood cells accumulation, compared to haemorrhagic infarct.
