Description
Rebbachisaurus fossil excavation. These fossils have been cleaned and hardened, followed by undercutting and the application of a plaster jacket to preserve them. These are limb and girdle bones of Rebbachisaurus, a large sauropod dinosaur which was 20 metres long. It was found in Africa around 99 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period. These fossils were found in Niger, in the southern Sahara. Photographed in 1988.
