Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, aerial photograph. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct was begun in 1795 and opened in 1805. Designed by Thomas Telford (1757-1834), it carries the Lllangollen canal over the River Dee at a height of 38.41m. Photographed near Llangollen, Clwyd, Wales.
