Light micrograph of a thin section through a Peltigera sp. lichen in Epi-Fluorescence. The section was stained with Calcofuor white, to show the fungus component of the lichen in blue color. The symbiotic algae are showing red autofluorescence of the chlorophyll. Epi fluorescence with UV-excitation. Magnification 90x when printed at 10 centimetres width.
