Description
Image of North America largely covered by clouds, taken by the GOES-7 weather satellite on July 11th 1991. At bottom centre, clearly recognisable, is the region of the Great Lakes on the border between Canada and the United States of America. The Gulf of California is just visible at bottom left. On July 11th 1991 a total solar eclipsed occurred and the large dark area at bottom left corresponds to the shadow of the Moon projected onto our planet.
