Description
NGC 1398 galaxy. This isolated barred spiral galaxy has thin, tightly-wound spiral arms (light blue) and a large, prominent nucleus (white, centre). It lies around 65 million light years from Earth, in the constellation of Fornax. With a diameter of 135000 light years, it is slightly larger than the Milky Way.
